George Clooney plans to slow down career to focus on family.
Famous Hollywood actor George Clooney revealed he wants to step back from work and spend more time with his family, RadarOnline reports.
In his recent interview, Clooney said his top priority now is his 8-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, whom he raises with his wife Amal.
“I am not in that mass rush to succeed anymore. My career went many ways, and in some sense it was already slowing down, so I spend much time at home with kids, and it’s fun. I am still young enough to run around with them,” Clooney shared.
However, the “Ocean’s Eleven” star has not announced official retirement yet. Sources close to him say Clooney reached a high level in his career, so he doesn’t feel pressure to prove anything.
Another insider revealed Clooney already rejected multiple big project offers due to busy schedules that don’t fit his lifestyle.
“I’ve had my career in many ways,” Clooney said. “Almost every industry has these conversations — people wish they didn’t miss moments with kids due to work.”
One source explained: “George is not chasing scripts or awards anymore. He is happy at home with Amal and twins. Work is not his main priority now.”
Another friend added: “He is not officially retiring, but he is not trying to stay in the game either. He prefers Lake Como over film sets.”
