Hollywood actor George Clooney says he worries about his children’s safety, admitting he doubts his ability to shield them from pressures and temptations in modern life. He shared his concerns in an interview with The Times.

Clooney became a father for the first time at 56. He said he avoided marriage for many years because he focused solely on work. Meeting Amal in 2013 changed that path. The Ocean’s Eleven star embraced fatherhood and now feels fulfilled in that role. He and Amal are raising twins, Ella and Alexander, now eight.
However, Clooney says he fears for them, especially when it comes to the internet. He avoids social media himself and bans his children from using it. He also limits their computer time, which he allows only for schoolwork. Still, he admits he will have to ease those rules eventually.

Clooney says he is grateful he moved his family away from what he calls Los Angeles’ “toxic environment.” Since 2021, they have been living in France, where he bought a home in Provence. He believes the environment there feels healthier and hopes it will help him raise his children to be “good people,” not spoiled “celebrity kids.”
