Kevin Spacey says he no longer owns a home and has become homeless seven years after sexual misconduct allegations derailed his career. And forced him to sell his Baltimore mansion.
In a candid interview with Britain’s Telegraph newspaper, the two-time Oscar winner described his current life as nomadic. “I live in hotels, I rent places short-term. go where the work is. I literally have no home,” Spacey said.
The former “House of Cards” star lost most major acting jobs after actor Anthony Rapp accused him of making a sexual advance in 1986 when Rapp was 14. Dozens of other men later came forward with similar claims. Although British courts cleared Spacey of all criminal charges in 2023 and he won a 2022 civil case in New York. The damage to his reputation proved lasting. Netflix fired him from its flagship series and multiple film projects collapsed.
Spacey, 65, has begun rebuilding through small, unconventional appearances. Last week he performed a one-man show combining personal stories and song — his first time singing on stage — at a club in Cyprus. Two more dates were planned in Athens and Tel Aviv, but the Athens concert was abruptly canceled. Spacey said the promoter feared staff would refuse to work the event because the Cyprus show came just before Tel Aviv. Citing tensions tied to the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict.
“I’d love to play Athens when they’re more accepting of the fact that they shouldn’t tell someone where they can and cannot perform,” Spacey told the newspaper. “I’m delighted to play in Tel Aviv.”
The actor insisted his comeback is organic, not orchestrated. “There are going to be people who speculate this is some design plan. But that isn’t how my career happened, and it’s not how this next chapter is going to happen,” he said.

Spacey auctioned his Baltimore waterfront home last year to help cover millions in legal fees. He now travels light, taking gigs wherever they appear.
